Short history of Aeroklub Grudziądzki's

     Aeroklub Grudziądzki refers to aviation's tradidition in Grudziądz. In 1921 was established here Wyższa Szkoła Pilotów, later changed into Oficerska Szkoła Lotnicza. When Oficerska Szkoła Lotnicza had been moved to Dęblin, in Grudziądz was founded Lotnicza Szkoła Strzelania i Bombardowania.

     In 1934 gliding association was established, two years later Wyższa Szkoła Pilotażu, where military schools' graduates improved their abilities as fighters' pilots. Their successes in Second World War confirmed the high level of training in Grudziądz.

     After war a group of enthusiasts established Aeroklub Grudziądzki, which until today develops and propagates flying among youth and adults. It also carries on the activity in baloons', model aircrafts', gliders' and airplanes' sections.
